Buckeye Lake Village is committed to thoughtful planning and responsible growth, ensuring development enhances the community’s character while protecting property values and quality of life.

In 2023, the Village of Buckeye Lake completed a Comprehensive Plan. This plan establishes a long-term vision for how the community will grow and function, guiding land use, transportation, and development decisions over the next 10–20 years. Built on community input and regional collaboration, it outlines priorities for investment, infrastructure, and future zoning.

In alignment with the Comprehensive Plan, Buckeye Lake Village Council is currently reviewing a proposed Development Code that would establish new zoning districts and regulations. The 2nd reading of the proposed Development Code will take place during the Regular Council Meeting on 5/26/2026 beginning at 7PM. View the amendments from the first reading here
