Tri-County Buckeye Lake Bike Safety Rodeo

Upcoming Event: Tri-County Bike Safety Rodeo, a free, family-friendly event designed to teach children essential bicycle safety skills in a fun and supportive environment. Registration is required. Register here.

Date: Saturday, May 9th, 2026 

Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM 

Location: 8985 Blackbird Lane, Thornville, OH 43076. 

Hosted by Bike Buckeye Lake, the event will provide young riders with hands-on instruction through a series of interactive stations and a guided skills course. Participants will learn proper helmet use, hand signaling, braking techniques, and basic road safety practices to help them ride confidently and responsibly.

The Bike Safety Rodeo supports the Village’s ongoing efforts to promote active lifestyles, improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, and enhance overall community wellness. The event is open to children ages 5–10 from Licking, Fairfield, and Perry counties and must be attended with a parent or guardian. Each child will receive a free helmet. Riders of all skill levels are welcome, from beginners to more experienced cyclists. Participants should bring their own bicycles.
