Police Department

Buckeye Lake Police Department recently took delivery of a 2019 Ford Explorer, Police Interceptor. Mayor Peggy Wells and Village Council worked with Branch Manager Bryan Bonkowski of North Valley Bank to make the dream a reality. Village council decided old vehicles were no longer cost effective due to repairs, high mileage and unreliability. The new cruiser was purchased at the state bid price of $39,128. The village would like to thank Communications Electronics for their efficient installation of equipment to make the car duty ready.

Our logo is based on the concept of Service, Justice, and Fairness and incorporates the Scales of Justice. “Integrity” is upside down because that is the one word any Officer wearing the patch can see when looking down. It is a reminder to the Officer wearing the badge or patch to always serve his/her community with Integrity, Honesty, and Strong Moral Principles – being whole and undivided.
